New 44.3MP sensor
By combining the newly developed full-frame 44.3MP sensor with a faster image processing high-performance engine with L2 technology, the camera delivers exceptionally delicate and natural rendering of reality with both high resolution and low noise. It also offers a wide sensitivity range from low ISO80 to high ISO51200.

40fps burst shooting
By incorporating a new sensor, a high-pressure, high-durability DC motor, and optimizing the mechanical shutter control, we have achieved both high resolution and high-speed continuous shooting. The mechanical shutter allows for approximately 10 fps, while the electronic shutter achieves approximately 40 fps. This makes it ideal for capturing sports and wildlife. In addition to the existing setting of capturing images while checking the subject in live view, the camera is equipped with an '“H+ (High Speed Plus)” mode that prioritizes burst shooting speed when the AFC setting is enabled. In H+ mode or SH mode display post view, allowing you to check framing without blackout and concentrate on shooting.

Built to withstand extremes from -10°C to 40°C
The magnesium alloy body is is dust, splash & freeze resistant and is designed to operate at temperatures as low as -10°C. It has also been verified for operation at temperatures as high as 40°C. Even in harsh field environments, it will support your passion for shooting photos and videos.

Handheld high resolution shooting
The camera is equipped with a high-resolution mode, allowing you to capture even the finest details. Utilizing the in-body image stabilization (B.I.S.) system, it shifts the image sensor while continuously shooting, and by automatically combining eight shots, it generates an image equivalent to approximately 177MP. It supports both RAW and JPEG or in-camera RAW processing, delivering detailed expression with LUMIX's signature rendering. The LUMIX S1RII also supports this mode in handheld situations, making it flexible for use in locations where a tripod cannot be used.

High-resolution video and wide dynamic range
The LUMIX S1R II achieves both 8K video recording and wide dynamic range log recording performance, allowing you to pursue video production without compromise. You can also capture beautiful moments in fantastic slow-motion videos.

The LUMIX S1RII features an evolved Phase Hybrid AF, which boasts high-speed, high-precision, and high-tracking performance. By combining advanced AI technology that improves the accuracy of human recognition with evolved AF tracking performance, persistently tracks and focuses on the subject you want to shoot, even in situations where multiple people are intersecting, such as sports.

8.0-stop 5-axis I.S. technology / Active I.S. technology
The LUMIX S1RII stabilizes framing for both photos and videos during handheld shooting. When shooting videos, it reduces the significant shaking and perspective distortion that can occur when shooting while walking. It also incorporates a new cropless mode that comes in useful when using a wide-angle lens.

Free-angle monitor and viewfinder
A newly developed tilt and free-angle rear monitor lets you compose shots on the optical axis. You can rotate the monitor while the cable is still plugged in, which also makes it extremely useful for video production. When shooting outdoors, the high-resolution OLED viewfinder with approximately 5,760k dots supports natural framing.
